Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist Job Responsibilities:

ResponsibilityDescription
Assist members via phone and emailSupport members with open enrollment, COBRA payments, password resets, wellness exams, and general inquiries
Verify insurance benefits and eligibilityConfirm members’ insurance coverage and eligibility for specific benefits
Provide claim status and informationOffer updates on claims processing and other related information
Promote use of company website and online toolsEncourage members to utilize the company’s website and digital resources for easy access to services
Complete accident/injury questionnaires and formsFill out necessary forms such as questionnaires and tracers for claim processing
Escalate complex claim issues appropriatelyIdentify and refer complicated claim issues to the relevant department
Update member informationMaintain and update member contact details, including address, phone number, and email

Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist Job Qualifications:

3+ years of medical insurance verification experienceApplicants with at least three years of relevant experience will be prioritized
Must reside in TexasCandidates must be residents of Texas
Must be bilingual (2 positions) or non-bilingual (2 positions)Two bilingual and two non-bilingual positions are available
6+ months of prior healthcare and call center experienceAt least six months of experience in healthcare and customer support via call center
Strong computer skills and typing ability (40 WPM minimum)Proficient with computers and able to type at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute
High school diploma (minimum)Must have completed high school as a minimum education requirement
