Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Responsibility | Description |

Assist members via phone and email | Support members with open enrollment, COBRA payments, password resets, wellness exams, and general inquiries |
Verify insurance benefits and eligibility | Confirm members’ insurance coverage and eligibility for specific benefits |
Provide claim status and information | Offer updates on claims processing and other related information |
Promote use of company website and online tools | Encourage members to utilize the company’s website and digital resources for easy access to services |
Complete accident/injury questionnaires and forms | Fill out necessary forms such as questionnaires and tracers for claim processing |
Escalate complex claim issues appropriately | Identify and refer complicated claim issues to the relevant department |
Update member information | Maintain and update member contact details, including address, phone number, and email |

Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist Job Qualifications:

6+ months of prior healthcare and call center experience | At least six months of experience in healthcare and customer support via call center |
Strong computer skills and typing ability (40 WPM minimum) | Proficient with computers and able to type at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute |
High school diploma (minimum) | Must have completed high school as a minimum education requirement |
Reliable internet with 200 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload speeds | High-speed internet is required to perform remote duties effectively |
